Meh...

So, I just finished this vest.
I was really looking forward to a nice, cozy piece to keep me warm in our cold (for California, at least) house.
This is Butterick 5394, view B.
I wasn't at all interested in the other views, so I just tossed them and cut out only the vest.
See the drawing in the link; see how the neck looks rather snuggled in the collar?
Oh, my trusting reader, don't make the same mistake I did and assume that the finished garment looks ANYTHING like the drawing.
The collar was HUGE! I could have put my whole head through it with room left over.
I took it off and removed 4 inches and sewed it back in.
I took it off, removed yet another 1 1/2 inches and sewed it yet again.
It is still rather large, but wearable. I was afraid to take any more out, as it was beginning to go a tad wonky.
In addition, the armholes are too tight, so I might re-do those as well. But, frankly, I'm so over this garment...
I threw out the remaining pattern pieces and went back to Photoshop, where I am having so much more success.

I think it's cute! I hope you enjoy wearing it after all that work.
