The first is a t-shirt; I almost didn't make it through the bedazzling of it... hot rhinestones all over the place, my heart pounding as another one lands somewhere random...
This was also my first attempt at fold-over elastic. My seam ripper got a good workout. Hint: you must reallyreallyreally stretch it when applying. And, make sure the wider side is on the BACK. Duh...
And, make sure you have extra. See previous statement.
Then there was this dress:
Yes, it's a dress. Things went fairly smoothly, until I was stitching with the double needle around the neck band and ran out of thread right in the front. Like I said, don't look too closely, Rachel.
Both patterns were from Ottobre, which I really like. The details are more like ready-to-wear than the big pattern companies here in the US. I bought mine in Germany; it's a good thing I have a working knowledge of sewing on knits, because the German sewing terms elude me... Hint: buy an English version. Duh...

Oh Barbara your sewing mojo is so much more professional than mine! I posted the sweat-shirt-to-pants pic! Nobody has to look closely - even at the tiny photo, wonkiness is all too obvious! Violet's clothes look adorable! (adorably?)
They are so cute! Thank you so much. V especially loves her dress. She would wear it every day if she could. :c)
