Today, I finished a pair of cropped pants. I made them of a chambray-type fabric, using New Look 6251. I really liked the seaming of these pants. They were easy to sew, but the instructions for the zipper weren't very clear. I ended up using my own method and it worked out fine. I can't decide if I like the cropped length on my short body, but I can always make them into walking shorts later. The waistband called for just using ribbon and folding it over. I used bias tape and then instead of a straight stitch, I used one of the decorative stitches built into my machine. I will be the only one to ever see the little flowers running around my waist, but they make me happy.

The next photo is of a work-in-progress. It will be a crocheted sweater for my grand-daughter. But, if I don't hurry up, she'll have outgrow it before it is finished.
I am back to work tomorrow, so I'll take it along on my trip. It's good to have something to do while waiting for my next flight.

Working with delight,
Barbara
