December Round-up

I got this idea here, and I've been wanting to do this for a few months now. Especially since my memory isn't what it used to be, and frankly, it wasn't all that even then! I have forgotten so much; without a photograph or a story from someone else (and then sometimes not even!), my life is just gone.
Poof.
I realize that in the scheme of things, my life really doesn't amount to much, but it's all I have. I want to remember the goodness of God and the blessings of His people. I want to remember answered prayers and personal revelations.
I agonized a bit over where exactly I wanted to post this: blog, Facebook, private diary, make a scrapbook page, etc. Finally settled on this blog; while it doesn't really fit the theme exactly, it all works towards my delight in God and in what He has called me to do and be.
So, here goes!

From Connie, a very relaxing Christmas CD
A sparkly brooch from Irma
I'm sure I've forgotten something! I was very blessed...

Accomplishments:
Got everything done for Christmas!
Finished the GEI calendar
Started a new exercise class at the gym; went 3 times

Concerns/Areas Needing Improvement:
Attitude adjustment when things don't go the way I thing they ought
Too many sweets, paying for it now....

Favorite Photos of the Month:
This was a good exercise for me! It did make me more mindful of what had occurred in December, and I was rather distressed at my need to really, really think so as to not leave out something. Let's see if I can keep this up in 2010!

This was fun to read! wow, you really accomplished a lot in December. (And I thought about giving you a picnic basket for Christmas, but it didn't work out. I'm glad you got one anyway!)

Great idea, Barbara! How fun to read - and what an encouragement to see how much actually got done and all that was enjoyed. Glad we could be a part!
