Folks, We Finally Have a Winner

This is a pattern that I have made twice before and neither one turned out.
The first, because I just made an error of assumption, assuming that I knew what I was doing. Silly me.
The second was not my fault; I had chosen to make an alternate view, one with a scoop neckline. Boy, it was a scooped neckline for sure. I couldn't wear it. Even if our pastor hadn't been teaching a series on modesty.
Not one to easily give up, I tried a third time and YAY! I have a cute top, finally! The fabric was a remnant for a dress I made a while back. I bought it on a trip to the fabric district in LA, in a shop where all the fabric is in huge boxes, where you must dig through to find what you want, and then you pay based on the weight. This piece cost me $4.50 and it was enough for a dress and a top. My kind of shopping!

Hi Barbara (love your name haha, seeing as its mine too)

Thanks for your comment and visit to my blog. Do you have a recipe for the mexican paletas you made? I will also search the net. I would love to try an official recipe tho.

What a lovely shirt you made! I am envious of the talent for sewing, its not one of mine. Envious in a GOOD way.

Hope you are having a wonderful day!
