The Toast Hat

A while ago, my daughter sent me this book, with a request for a hat to hide her hair while her broken wrist healed. I did manage to get one hat made for her, but I'm afraid the book has languashed on my sewing table ever since.
Ever since, that is, until the young woman who occasionally helps with my housecleaning happened upon it.
"Please, please, will you make me this hat???"
"That hat?"
"Yes, I'm really serious."
"Well, OK, then..."

So I did.
