Finally!

The neighbors gave a huge sigh of relief, as our living room windows at last have curtains. They will no longer be subjected to the sight of us lounging around, watching a movie in our jammies.
My patient husband requested that I finally get to it and make those curtains!!! It has been over two years since we did some remodeling work and we've been living with bare windows and the stares of passers-by ever since. Really, it was past time.
I dread these big jobs, as it requires me crawling around on the floor to lay and cut everything out. I have nearly 50-year old knees and they don't take kindly to wood floors. But, it wasn't that bad. It only took one day of sewing and one evening of rather tense rod installation. (Marriage still intact.)
I'm working on an Easter dress for a much-loved little girl. It's almost done and I can hardly wait to see the finished product. Photos to come, Lord willing! Barring a disastrous mistake with the scissors or a permanent ink pen. One never knows...

You amaze me and crack me up! Hurray for finished projects. AND . . nice lines in your photo and great use of the "rule of thirds". I'm impressed, Missy.

Good job! Projects like these are my least favorite to finish. They are a whole lot of work, and if they're done right, the reaction is, "What a nice room," and not "Whoa, look at those curtains!"
